This beautifully presented four bedroom dormer property which is in turn key condition is situated on a half acre site with lovely views to the front and rear of the property. Carraroe is a lovely coastal village and derives its name from An Cheathrú Rua, the red quarter or the russet rocky land. It is a popular holiday area for Irish speakers being in the heart of the Connemara Gaeltacht and also attracts many visitors who come to appreciate the wonderful scenery in the area. Carraroe is also the centre for the Irish language media. The main national Irish-language newspaper "Foinse" has it's head office in the village, the Irish language radio station, Raidio na Gaeltachta, is in nearby Casla (3 miles) and the Irish language TV station, TG4 is based in Baile na hAbhann (7 miles). Several of the early Christian sites in the vicinity have been associated with the saints of Aran but the area appears to have been inhabitated at an even earlier age by prehistoric people. There are many facilities including a church, schools, pubs, restaurants, Post Office and a supermarket.
Some of Ireland's most beautiful unspoiled beaches can be found in and around Carraroe with the Coral Strand, 'Trá an Dóilín' being the most famous with it's fine coral. Rossaveal is just five miles away, the second largest fishing port on the western seaboard. Rossaveal also houses the terminal for ferries to the Aran Islands.
Galway Hookers (Húicéirí na Gaillimhe) are a distinctive form of native Irish boat, and An Cheathrú Rua (Carraroe) is today probably the single most important centre for these boats. Every August bank holiday, An Cheathrú Rua hosts Féile an Dóilín, the largest Galway hooker festival in Ireland, and one of the largest maritime festivals in the country.

The property is South East facing, constructed of concrete block, rendered and painted externally under a slate roof and situated on an elevated position just outside the village of Carraroe. Set back from the road and accessed by a tarmacadam driveway which sweeps round to the rear of the property, this lovely family home has a great feeling of space as soon as you walk through the front door. The gardens have been designed to maximize the views and location of the property but still provide scope for future owners to add their own personal touch. A south facing patio area is a delight and benefits of views over Casla bay and the surrounding countryside.

The house itself is extremely light and airy, decorated neutrally throughout with wooden flooring in most rooms, quality fixtures and fittings, the kitchen / dining room is well equipped and has the luxury of ample granite roll edge work surfaces. All the bedrooms are of good proportions with two benefitting from en suites with drench power showers and attractive tiling throughout. Upvc double glazing throughout and an individual zoned oil fired central heating ensures this home is economic to run. The property is being sold with all light fittings and window dressings.
