“When we decided to sell our house near Oughterard in late January 2015, after receiving conflicting advice, I decided to contact Spencer Auctioneers about the sale, as they were local and in the best position to deal with this. This proved a very wise decision.
I received an immediate response by phone from Luke Spencer and went to Ireland soon later to meet him and discuss the sale. I only needed to stay ten days to set up the necessary arrangements, including bank and solicitors, and have been able to remain in UK ever since, with regular reporting from Luke on later developments and negotiations. He organised various inspections and an engineer to deal with some planning queries, as well as the house clearance prior to completion. He also dealt with questions from both mine and the purchaser’s solicitors. Without this support, I would have been obliged to make numerous visits to Ireland to deal with things, which would have involved considerable expense.
